Hello Parents,
Everyone looked fantastic for career day today! We had everything from teachers and business people to astronauts, karate masters, and ballerinas!
Today students finished formulating their arguments based on their Scholastic debate article from yesterday. One group decided we should ban fidget spinners in school, another decided trampolines are too dangerous for kids, and the third said plastic straws should be replaced with only reusable ones. They are a safe and responsible group of kiddos! :) The kids also decorated their t-shirts today. Thank you again for your cooperation in making this activity happen! They really enjoyed it and are excited to show class spirit together.
Tomorrow is the school track-a-thon. Students must wear their track-a-thon shirts if they have them OR their gym shirt. Since it is also wacky Wednesday, they are invited to wear crazy hairstyles, pants, socks, and accessories to school! Their shoes must be comfortable for walking/running outside.
Students are beginning to bring items home from school as the week comes to a close. Today they took home all of their art projects in a large portfolio. Tomorrow, they will take home some more items from their desks, and it is my goal to have everything 99% cleaned out by Thursday since we will not need materials on Friday. Report cards will also be sent home on Friday.
Tonight's homework:
-My Math Worksheet (last one of the year!)
Have a good evening,
Ms. Renko
